| July- Michigan Greenhouse Gas Reductions Summit | | | |
This summit will focus on climate issues, specifically examingning Greenhouse Gas Reductions in the state of Michigan. During the week of July 12-17th studnets wiull stay at the Western Michigan University (WMU) campus in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Keystone is happy to work in partnership with The Michigan Geological Repository for Research and Education at WMU.
This program is open to any high school in the state of Michigan and will involve 40 students and 10 teachers from 10 high schools. Many of the schools attending will be from the National Consortium of Specialized Secondary Schools of Math Science and Technology. A concurrent teacher trainingwill be offered to teachers bringing studnets to the summit and will involve an additional 20-30 teachers from the Michigan region. CSI: Climate Status Investigations is a nationally recognized curriculum designed and distributed by The Keystone Center's teacher training division.
