I seem to be always coming up with, publishing's from other people in the form of books and things. I can't seem to find reliable resources/ websites, or anything to cover on my wedge.

What is your wedge? Often the industry posts statistics about their generating plants. You do have to be wary of biased sources, but if 3 sources have the same statistics, then they are likely reliable, if you cannot find the site where the source originally got the statistics.
